We discussed description, show/not tell, the origins of words and symbolism. Altering one word can change the meaning of a paragraph, or clarify the intent of a scene.

In contrast, French turns up with a new word and is interrogated about where they acquired the ghastly thing followed by an insistence that they throw it away immediately and use this nice Gallic word instead.
