August Meeting

And so we improve – with the input of our group members, we have learned how to Show the Story, avoid the passive, have our characters grow and learn (and save themselves), how to unfold the story in hints and teasers, and how to enjoy the process of writing (and a lot more).  We discussed and reviewed two WIPs (Works in Progress).  Both are now at a stage where the critique is enhancing the work, inspiring and motivating the writers, and generally giving a buzz to the work.  The muse is the group, the group is the passion, the group is the word (and the story).  Long live the critique circle of Spec Fic Chic.

We all look forward to the next meeting, the next work, the next year of delights, shivers, and shocks (and the occasional kaboom).
