We discussed Connie’s Monday workshop on Style and Form in Fiction.
This month’s offerings for critiquing included two excerpts from ongoing projects – both novel-length manuscripts.
I have learned a lot on writing (and sticking to) Points of View (POV), over the past months. This month my excerpt was written from the ‘camera’s’ POV. You would think, being a movie buff, that this would come easy. Well… no. I have a long list of notes and recommendations for this chapter’s rewrites.
Take home message: A camera cannot think or judge. It describes what it sees.
